David Douglass Wilkerson Resident of Oakland David, born December 6, 1952, died unexpectedly December 20, 2009.
David Douglass Wilkerson Resident of Oakland David, born December 6, 1952, died unexpectedly December 20, 2009. A graduate of San Ramon Valley High and UC Berkeley, Dave was an artist, and Performer. He worked at the Renaissance and Dickens Faires in many capacities. He was a member of the SF Maritime Museum, the St. Andrews Society and was a commissioner for Clan Donald. An avid military history buff, Dave participated in Civil War re-enactments. He took particular joy in researching and building model military planes. Dave was well-read and well-traveled. A singer and actor in high school and college, Dave was recently a member of the Masquers Playhouse as part of the theatre management team. He also assisted in the design & building of their sets. Preceded in death by his father Roy, and nephew Tim, Dave is survived by his mother Shirley; sister Sue; brother Steven; sister-in-law Lisa and niece Melissa. He also leaves behind the two women in his life, his "girls," Sharon Wilkerson and Jo Lusk. A memorial service will be held Jan. 23rd at 12:00 at the Masquers Playhouse in Point Richmond.
