Glencoe Observance Weekend 2012
February 10 – 12, 2012
For all members and especially new members, our Glencoe Weekend is a great opportunity to learn about Clan Donald history and the significance of the Glencoe Massacre, meet your fellow Clan Donald members and enjoy Clan camaraderie and “Highland Hospitality.�
You may make your room reservations now at the Amador Inn. Call them at 209-223-0211. Room rate is $69.95 + tax per room (for up to 4 persons).

Preliminary Schedule:
For our members who have never attended a Glencoe Weekend, below is an outline of the weekend schedule. Some members drive up to Jackson on Fridayand spend two nights. Members may also drive up on Saturday morning, go directly to the Glencoe Hall, and enjoy the lunch and ceremony there, then drive to Jackson and go to the Saturday evening Banquet, staying Saturday night at the Amador Inn. Complete information will be sent the first weekend of January.
Friday, Feb. 10:
Friday the Hospitality Suite will open in the mid to late afternoon.About 6:00 p.m. a “Finger Food Buffet Dinner� will be set up in the Hospitality Suite.Friday night is a casual evening to“Meet and Greet� and get to know your fellow members.
Saturday, Feb. 11:
Leave Jackson to drive to the Glencoe Hall (about 20-25 miles from Jackson) for the Cairn Ceremony at the Hall, followed by our “Banger Lunch.� There will be time to relax and visit with other members.
Depart from Glencoe Hall between3:00-3:30 pm and return to the Amador Inn in Jackson. Hospitality Suite will open for a chance to relax before the dinner.
About 5:50 pm, depart from the Amador Inn and make the short drive to Teresa’s Italian Restaurant, for our Saturday night Banquet.
About 9:30 pm we’ll return to the Amador Inn. Most folks go into the Hospitality Suite, and later we’ll walk over to Main Street for the “Midnight March� at about 10:30 pm.
Leave the Amador Inn to walk to Main Street for the Midnight March.Return to the Amador Inn and socialize in the Hospitality Suite.
Sunday, Feb. 12:
Rev. Robert MacDonald will present a Kirkin’ Service at 9:00 am, in the Hospitality Suite.
Following the Kirkin’ Service, breakfast in the Amador Breakfast room or the adjacent Denny’s.Following breakfast the weekend officially ends.
